English Russian English Dictionary App Reviews

Ive been using this program for a semester going into my second in Russia. It practically eliminates the use for a bulky dictionary. Its quick, full of contextual examples, and would be beyond perfect if it had a flash card system added on in the future. Thanks to the designers for this great app, it saves both money and time.

Only has audio pronunciations of english words. No Russian audio! Otherwise this would be a GREAT program.

I just got it. First impression - excellent product and good price.

It should have an option of being a Russian-English dictionary so that people who are learning how to speak can use it as a reference.

I nee to be able to turn word of the day off!!! and it has no spell check!!!

I bought this app because of its attractive price (comparing with other dictionaries). It has friendly interface and some interesting functions. Unfortunately, it crashes from time to time, but I hope that someday the developers will fix it. But I was really shocked when I opened "Words of the day" and the second word was "khuyovy"! (if you are russian, you know what it means, if not, you shouldnt translate it!:) ) I suppose that its inadmissible to show such words in the educational section of the program! Children, who often use dictionaries at school, shouldnt see it. So I hope that it will be fixed too. Then this program will be really great.

Before I bought this app, I was using free Multi Lang Dictionary app. It wasnt great but at least I didnt pay for it. I expected more from a paid application, like a more complete definition of a word and examples, but I only got the same limited translations and none or few examples. In fact often my free dictionary gave me more definitions. It doesnt worth to be paid for.

Please, add voice search to speed word search provess and it will be the five star App.

Poorly organized and it does not show stress for Russian.

Good dictionary with nice UI. Help files talk about phonetic search, but it is missing. I would rather have that than Anagram search, completely useless

Poor organization and explanations

I cant find a way to input Russian to English. There is no such entry and no keyboard. Am I missing something? I am wondering whether the app misleads customers.

Putting emphasis on the wrong syllable is a quick means of showing your lack of knowledge. PLEASE INCLUDE ACCENT!!! Otherwise a five-star program, but seriously PLEASE add stress marks like one would find in any other dictionary in the world!!

this is not a russian english dictionary. The title is misleading. and the pronunciation guide tells me how to pronounce the word in english! The user interface is terrible. If I type in a word like "good", it gives me the russian, then a list of phrases like "good life". I can then click on the russian for "life" and it will translate it for me! The only positive - it only costs $3.

Great application, I am using it every day, one of the best downloads I bought. I cant remember when I cant find the word for regular use.

Lots of mistakes but ok for the $2.99 price. Great dictionary remains elusive

This is very helpful, and I like that you can also translate Russian to English (if you enable a russian keyboard in your settings) and the pronounciations are helpful
